This morning, I woke up thinking of you, and I felt a deep need to share why your self-care is more important now than ever. Whether we’re going through global turbulence like we did during the pandemic, or personal transitions like menopause, becoming an empty nester, or retirement, these moments can feel overwhelming. Life’s transitions, though sometimes filled with turbulence, offer a unique opportunity to create calm within the storm.

As a Health and Wellness Coach, I feel a deep responsibility to guide you through these uncertain times with tools that can help you stay mentally and physically strong. Together, we can build resilience and confidence to face future challenges without being destroyed by circumstances.


We’ve all had to adapt to unexpected changes. During the pandemic, life got turned upside down—kids were home from school, jobs went remote, and we had to take measures to keep our immunity strong. For some, it was a time of isolation; for others, a period of heightened anxiety. It reminded me of how similar these feelings can be to the transitions we face in midlife—menopause, major life shifts, or even retirement.


I’ve come to learn that the key to thriving in such moments isn’t just about surviving the storm, but about creating an inner calm that strengthens us from the inside out.


A few years ago, I discovered The Miracle Morning by Hal Elrod, and it transformed my life.


This simple morning routine helped me stay centered, productive, and grounded. It has been so impactful for me that I’ve found my purpose and passion—helping others find balance, health, and a way to shine each day. On the days when I miss this practice, I feel scattered, off balance, and less productive. And in times of turbulence—whether from a global pandemic or a personal transition—this is when we need to fill our own cup the most.


I want to share the Miracle Morning with you because I believe it can bring you the same calm and structure that it brought me. Especially now, when life might feel uncertain or overwhelming, having a consistent morning routine can help anchor you, reduce stress, and improve your overall well-being.


What is the Miracle Morning?


The Miracle Morning is based on six key elements, called the SAVERS, which you can easily incorporate into your life to strengthen your mind, body, and spirit:


  1. S – Silence (Meditation): Take 5 minutes each morning to calm your nervous system. Sit in silence, breathe deeply, and let your thoughts drift like clouds. Over time, this practice will help you feel more present throughout the day.

  2. A – Affirmations: Declare that you will be a light in the darkness for others, practicing kindness, compassion, and strength. Affirm that you have the power to navigate challenges with grace and resilience.

  3. V – Visualization: Picture yourself healthy, strong, and emerging from this period of turbulence as an even better version of yourself. Visualize how you want to act, the relationships you want to strengthen, and the life you want to create.

  4. E – Exercise: Stay strong by moving your body! Whether it's a walk in your neighborhood, stretching, or a workout, keep yourself active. Movement boosts energy and strengthens your immune system.

  5. R – Reading: Sharpen your mind by learning something new each day. Whether it’s personal growth, your career, or new skills, use this time as an opportunity for growth. Remember, difficult times often lead to breakthroughs.

  6. S – Scribing (Journaling): Reflect on your blessings, lessons, and goals. Journaling is a powerful way to connect with yourself, set intentions, and maintain a sense of gratitude during challenging times.


Calm Within the Storm

Transitions like menopause or retirement can feel just as unsettling as global upheaval. But the beauty of these moments is that they also offer a chance to build resilience, find inner strength, and create a new path forward. Instead of letting turbulence control you, take charge by grounding yourself in daily practices that nurture your mind and body.


By starting your day with the SAVERS, you will build a foundation of peace, strength, and confidence. The simple act of caring for yourself—especially first thing in the morning—allows you to show up better for others and for the challenges ahead.
